pilfered from the cold dead hands of, wait she's not dead!
domfangirl, who got it from someone I don't know. *g*
If you could resurrect/bring back five characters, who would they be?
SPOILERS BEWARE
1. Charlie from Lost. He was my favorite character, flawed, tender, loving, cute, complex and talented, he was great and his death scene still makes me tear up when I think about it.
2. Wash from Firefly/Serenity. Seeing him die the way he did was so shocking, you just sat there with your mouth hanging open saying "guh!" like an idiot, and then the tears came, and then they dried up, because not even Mal had time to think on it too much, 'cause he was DAAAMN busy.
3. Joshua Carter from ER. That's right, Carter and Kem's baby boy. I think if he had lived Kem and Carter wouldn't be estranged and Carter would be much happier, because face it... that man deserves to be happy! And I say deserves because in canon he's still live and kickin', even though the series is over.
4. The Lone Gunman from The X-Files. True they are three people, but they were three great people who were always linked together, and they died, and it was sad, not only because they died on their own series that seemingly no one watched, but they were without their best friend around to help them. Also, I really want them to show up in the next movie, but now the only way they can do that is in flashback or hallucination.
5. Veronica Donovan from Prison Break Yeah, Candy named her too! But I agree with my whole heart. They did not explore her character enough, plus Lincoln and her were great together, I wanted to see Dom and Robin interact more, because they had fantastic chemistry, plus Sofia was kind of a chav.
Honorary Mention, even though it hasn't happened yet. The Tenth Doctor from Doctor Who. Why? Because I'm going to miss David Tennant's Doctor like mad, he was wonderful, probably the most versatile actor they've ever had play the role in history, and it's a long history, series started in 1963 I believe. Here's to Ten, we will miss you forever!

They played one of my go-to itunes songs this past weekend, on Dexter, and lovingly it was accompanied by the creepier than ever, Arthur Mitchell, AKA The Trinity Killer. Song was "Venus" by Frankie Avalon, and yes... I was totally singing along.
That is all.

I know not many on my f-list are dance fans, and if you are... Why haven't you said anything!? Anyway, I've been catching up on the So You Think You Can Dance series' from all over the world. Currently I'm watching season one of SYTYCD Canada, I already know who won, because I follow a number of former contestants from SYTYCD America on Twitter, and they've either met the winner, or worked with them, him... it's a him.

I heard this song while listening to Absolute Radio over the inter-net. Love this song now, and it's only been about three days since I first heard it. Wait, I also love knowing that the song is literally less than two months old!
Here's a video of them playing it for the SECOND time ever, and only in October... yep the month that just ended.
and here's the official music video, which I think is mighty Devo-esque.
Don't be fooled by the name of the song, it's not a cover of The Cure!

Apparently, a green light has been given to an hour long comedy series for NBC, that will star our dear David. You got that right, NBC, as in U.S television! It's a lawyer show, David will play Rex Alexander a top Chicago lawyer(I keep wanting to say Barrister), who starts having panic attacks(who doesn't love flustered, pale, flailing David?), so he starts to coach clients to represent them selves. Sounds intriguing, and if it gets off the ground with more than a Pilot, I will gladly watch. To be honest, I'm a bit confused. He's never really seemed to express any desire to get more exposure in the States, in fact he's expressed repeatedly that he's ignorant when it comes to America and American's. I think the longest time he's ever spend here was when he made L.A Without a Map, and week or so attending Comic Con in San Diego this past summer.

There are only two Brits in my mind who have made the transition to American television, and only one of those two is successful. One is Hugh Laurie the other is Jonny Lee Miller. Miller's critically acclaimed Eli Stone only lasted 26 episodes, but I really think most know Miller from Hackers, the 90s techno geek chic movie, co-starring Angelina Jolie. Laurie's House is in it's 6h season, and now he's more than just a household name in the UK, he's world famous. If Tennant wants to be the next Laurie, I say, more power to him... but, I'm skeptical, not because I think he's lacking in the talent department, but because I don't think this is the right project to foray him into the mass North American market and/or consciousness.

I spent almost 6 hours on this art assignment last night. So, while my contemporaries were off gallivanting in tight costumes, getting drunk and rubbing up against each other, I was at my desk with Steve, Steve McQueen that is.
The assignment was to posterize a black and white photo, I chose Steve McQueen's mug shot. I could have gone with Frankie's, but I thought Steve's had a bit more cheek to it.

When you go look at old work, and find tiny gems. Sometimes they're just sentences, but they're gems none the less.
The look of her is familiar, an easy smile with
small white teeth and a tongue and a voice that still
hold shades of childhood.
and
I don't want to move on/I just want to move.
I used to write frequently from the point of view of a male, and I'd get two out of three responses when I'd workshop in my writing courses.
1. I can't believe a woman wrote this.
2. I hate that a woman wrote this, and got it right.
3. I hate you. (veiled, of course)
Hey, Wall Lamb doesn't have the market cornered on writing from the opposite gender's POV, am I right?
Blah, back to my writing project, I just needed to get some inspiring on.
This might help some, it certainly puts me in a mood.
